SOLESWAP TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to SoleSwap! By using our platform, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. INTRODUCTION

SoleSwap is a marketplace that acts solely as an intermediary connecting customers with trusted restorers for restoration services. SoleSwap does not provide restoration services itself and is not responsible for the quality, completion, or outcome of any restoration.

2. USER AGREEMENT

2.1 CUSTOMER AGREEMENT

  • Customers must pay the full cost of the restoration service upfront before any work begins.
  • Customers are responsible for shipping costs to the restorer and must ship their product within 1-2 business days after purchasing a service to avoid delays.
  • Restoration timelines are estimates and depend on various factors, including:
    • Location of customer and restorer
    • Shipping speed to and from the restorer
    • Restorer's workload and service capabilities
  • Customers understand that restoration quality is subjective and should be compared to the restorer's previous work.
  • SoleSwap is not liable for any delays caused by shipping carriers, restorer workload, or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Once the service has been purchased, refunds or cancellations are not permitted.

2.2 RESTORER AGREEMENT

  • Restorers must complete the restoration within the agreed-upon timeframe based on their service listing.
  • Restorers may deactivate listings at any time to prevent overbooking and service delays.
  • Restorers are responsible for shipping the restored product back to the customer and may adjust their service pricing to include return shipping costs.
  • Restorers must provide an accurate description of their services and ensure the final product aligns with the quality of their previous work.
  • SoleSwap is not responsible for any disputes between the restorer and the customer. However, we encourage both parties to communicate and resolve any issues directly.

Transaction Process & Timelines

1. Service Purchase

Customer purchases a restoration service and pays upfront.

2. Shipping to Restorer

Customer must ship the product within 1-2 business days (depending on weekends and holidays).

3. Restoration Period

Estimated 1 day to 1 week depending on the complexity of the restoration.

4. Return Shipping to Customer

Estimated 3 days to 1 week for the restorer to ship the restored product back.

Total suggested estimated turnaround: 1 to 3 weeks.

Payment Terms

  • All payments must be processed through SoleSwap's payment system. SoleSwap does not handle disputes regarding payments beyond its platform.
  • Customers must pay both the service fee and the cost of shipping to the restorer.
  • Restorers are responsible for covering the cost of shipping the restored product back to the customer and may include this in their service pricing.

Liability & Disclaimers

  • SoleSwap is a middleman service and does not assume responsibility for the quality, timing, or outcome of any restoration service.
  • SoleSwap is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged shipments. Customers and restorers should use tracking services and insurance as needed.
  • All restoration services are subjective; customers should review a restorer's previous work before purchasing a service.
  • SoleSwap reserves the right to remove any restorer or customer from the platform due to fraudulent activity, disputes, or failure to comply with these terms.

6. GOVERNING LAW & COMPLIANCE

These Terms of Service comply with applicable laws, including but not limited to U.S. state laws, federal regulations, and international consumer protection laws.

Users outside the U.S. are responsible for ensuring compliance with their local laws regarding online marketplace transactions.

7. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any disputes should first be resolved directly between the customer and the restorer.

If a dispute cannot be resolved, SoleSwap may offer mediation but is not responsible for issuing refunds or enforcing service agreements.

8. CHANGES TO TERMS

SoleSwap reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notifications.

By using SoleSwap, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
